A former Nigerian Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Yemi Farounbi, has recommended fiscal federalism as solution to Nigeria’s structural and leadership challenges. He gave the charge during the final tour of the six geo-political zones of the country, organised by The Nigeria Agenda (TNA), in Ibadan, Oyo State. Farounbi noted that Nigeria had foundational, structural and leadership problems, which need to be resolved through fiscal federalism. “As at 1960, Nigeria was ahead of many countries and everyone looked at us as the epitome of democracy. According to him, the only way Nigerians can make the country better is by choosing good leaders.
